Israel’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ronen Krausz, visited the monument of Azerbaijan’s National Hero, Albert Agarunov, APA reports.
“Ambassador Ronen Krausz and Deputy Ambassador Aviv Zell visited the monument honoring Albert Agarunov, a National Hero of Azerbaijan of Mountain Jewish origin and tank commander who fought with extraordinary courage in the First Karabakh War. They were joined by Agarunov’s tank battalion chief, Haji Azimov, who shared memories of his bravery and sacrifice in defending Azerbaijan. This is powerful reminder of valor and dedication," the embassy noted.
