Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Azerbaijan George Deek, APA reports.
The Speaker of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan spoke about the relations between our countries, emphasizing the role of the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan in the development of relations between our countries.
Noting that the Autonomous Republic has been under blockade for many years, the Speaker expressed confidence that after the restoration of communications, relations will expand in various fields - education, health, tourism, agriculture and the application of new technologies.
In turn, Ambassador George Deek stressed the importance of his visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Speaking about the multicultural and tolerant environment in Azerbaijan, the diplomat said relations would be further strengthened in the future.
They exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
