“Our relations with Azerbaijan continue to expand," Ronen Kraus, Ambassador of Israel to Azerbaijan, told APA’s correspondent dispatched to Karabakh.
The diplomat noted that this is his third visit to Karabakh.
“It is a great pleasure for me to be here again. This is my third visit to Karabakh. However, this is my first visit to Khankendi,” the ambassador said.
According to him, there are prospects for cooperation between Israeli medical institutions and Karabakh University, particularly its Faculty of Medicine.
“There are opportunities for cooperation between medical institutions in Israel and Karabakh University, particularly the Faculty of Medicine, and we hope to see results in the near future,” the diplomat emphasized.
The ambassador noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Israel continue to develop.
“Our relations continue to expand. There are very good relations both between the leaders and between the peoples,” he said.
The diplomat recalled that the recent visit of Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs to Azerbaijan was successful and that the parties are working on the implementation of new projects.
“Cooperation is developing in the fields of economic projects, agriculture, water technologies, cyberspace, and tourism,” the ambassador noted.
According to him, more than 70,000 tourists from Israel visited Azerbaijan last year, and this figure is expected to increase further.
