“The US and the Zionist regime have violated Iran’s sovereign territory. As a result of this aggression, many lives have been lost. This move has been met with indifference by the UN Security Council,” said Seyyed Jafar Aghayi, Chargé d'Affaires of Iran's Embassy in Azerbaijan, at a press conference, APA reports.
“They thought they would achieve their goals. This is an act of aggression against Iran, and Iran is exercising its right to self-defense in accordance with the UN Charter. Israel has targeted our nuclear facilities located on sovereign Iranian soil. Unfortunately, this action has also been ignored by the UN Security Council,” the diplomat said.
He also emphasized that Israel is targeting Iran’s oil fields in the Gulf.
