President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, received the delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev, who is on a visit to Iran, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
The Deputy Prime Minister conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President Ilham Aliyev to the President of Iran.
During the meeting, it was stated that Azerbaijani-Iranian relations have been successfully developing thanks to the will and attention of the leaders of both countries.
The importance of further expanding the mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries, which is built on solid foundations, and continuing the implementation of joint projects was emphasized.
President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, asked for his sincere greetings to be conveyed to the President of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, visiting Iran, met with Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Mustafayev congratulated Larijani on his appointment as the new Secretary and wished him success in his work.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on economic cooperation and regional security issues. The importance of the North-South and East-West transport corridors, including the Araz corridor implemented between Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as other joint projects, was emphasized.
