An Iranian delegation will soon visit Türkiye to discuss the Zangazur corridor, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei said at a press conference today, APA reports.
The diplomat said that the Zangazur corridor is not a political issue at all, but a technical issue with a very specific history between the two countries.
"Iran's position is stable. While we welcome the expansion of cooperation in the transport sector, we emphasize that the sovereign rights of countries must be respected."
Baghaei added that an Iranian delegation will soon visit Türkiye to discuss the Zangazur corridor: "Probably, a delegation from us with the participation of relevant agencies will visit Türkiye in the near future to discuss the issue closely. We hope that the issue will be resolved soon."
