Iran welcomes the agreement reached on the text of the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan, APA reports.
The minister stated that in recent months, intensive negotiations have been held for the exchange of high-level delegations between the two countries. He stated that the parties have been exchanging views closely to ensure peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
Abbas Araqchi mentioned that the signing of the mentioned agreement soon would contribute to long-term stability and peace in the region.
The Iranian minister called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to sign the agreement as soon as possible: “We urge both sides to sign this agreement as quickly as possible.”
