In general, Azerbaijan's balanced position regarding global conflicts is based on the principles of international law, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiyev said during a discussion themed "The Rise of the Global South and the West: Azerbaijan's Role, Cooperation, and New Opportunities for Development" at a wide-ranging meeting of the Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Connections of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.
The Deputy Minister noted that Azerbaijan’s position is aligned with what international law requires: "In the India-Pakistan issue, Azerbaijan's position is also based on international law. Especially in Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, which are going through a fragile period India and other third parties should carefully approach the issue."
