Western states are conducting smear campaigns, dissemination of lies, and disinformation campaigns against their geopolitical rivals, Igor Korotchenko, Director General of the Caspian Strategic Institute, stated this in his remarks to journalists, According to APA's correspondent in Shusha.
He mentioned that the participation of representatives from various countries at the Global Media Forum in Shusha is indicative of the significance Azerbaijan holds:
"The Global Media Forum held in Shusha for the second time already creates new trends for the modern world media landscape. Today, we face numerous cases of the spread of fake news worldwide. Especially Western states conduct smear campaigns, dissemination of lies, and disinformation campaigns against their geopolitical rivals. Today, several countries approach Azerbaijan, which has unmatched energy production and export potential, with jealousy."
