Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed special thanks to the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye at the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Council of Heads of State, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Budapest reports.
He stated that the West did everything to prevent the construction of the “TurkStream” pipeline, which exports Russian gas: “President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan showed determination in the construction of this pipeline. Through it, gas is being delivered to Hungary. I also thank President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev — last year, gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Hungary began. At the same time, Hungarian companies are operating in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector. Relations between Hungary and Azerbaijan are of a strategic nature."
