The recent events in the region have once again demonstrated the benefits of our bilateral cooperation, said Hugo Guevara, the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires whose diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan has come to an end, APA reports.

“The recent events in the region have once again demonstrated the benefits of our bilateral cooperation. As an example, we express our gratitude to Azerbaijan for its assistance in the safe evacuation of U.S. citizens from Iran,” the diplomat noted.

He also expressed confidence that the friendship between the United States and Azerbaijan will continue to strengthen.
