Azerbaijan and China have friendly and partnership relations, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Issues of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, told journalists, APA reports.
Hikmet Hajiyev said that these relations are developing on the basis of the strategic partnership document signed this year as part of President Ilham Aliyev's state visit to China: "Today, Azerbaijan-China relations are developing successfully in all areas. I would especially like to note economic and trade relations, we are observing a 40 percent increase in this area. I would also like to note relations in the transport sector. We are observing an increase in the transportation of Chinese goods through the Central Corridor, which passes through Azerbaijan and includes Turkey. From a political point of view, China and Azerbaijan have always supported each other."
