Today, Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis and head of the Azerbaijan-Iran interparliamentary working group, Ziyafat Asgarov, met with the delegation led by Sodeyf Badri, head of the Iran-Azerbaijan friendship group of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports, citing the Press and Public Relations Department of Milli Majlis.
Ziyafat Asgarov emphasized the dynamic development of economic and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Iran. He noted that expanding cooperation in trade and logistics is also in the interests of both countries.
Sodeyf Badri expressed confidence that mutual visits not only contribute to diplomatic relations but also strengthen interparliamentary cooperation. He also emphasized his belief that Iran-Azerbaijan relations will continue to develop based on the principles of friendship and mutual respect.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
