"Non-governmental organizations representing the Global South must actively participate in integration-oriented processes," said Melvine Wajiri, head of the NGO Coalition for Social Development under UN, within the framework of the founding conference of the NGO Platform, APA reports.
"Azerbaijan gives a strong impetus to the development of cooperation among non-governmental organizations representing the Global South. The main issue is to find more effective ways to strengthen this cooperation. From this perspective, the forum we are currently attending is significant. I believe that NGOs representing the Global South must be actively involved in the integration process. For this, all interested parties must make numerous efforts. It is essential that every member of society, regardless of political views or ethnicity, actively participate in this process. Everyone must serve these principles," he said.
