Putting environmental problems on the agenda of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States is of significant importance, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmuş said at the 13th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) on “Green Horizons for the Turkic World: The Role of Parliaments in Achieving the Green Agenda” held in Baku, APA reports.
According to him, his country will continue to support all the steps to be taken on this path:
“We need to see and know that climate change is a result created by human hands. In addition to the law, the need for cognitive change is great. Climate changes caused by human hands have led and will lead to disaster and crisis in many cases. Therefore, first of all, there is a need to change the perception and mentality. Unfair use of blessings in the world leads to serious problems. The lack of a fair global system has serious consequences. In this context, as the Turkic world, we must do our part. States with ample opportunities to a number of international agreements are indifferent."
