"The development of parliaments to combat disinformation on social media platforms has become an urgent measure. Today, both in the US and Western countries, there is an "X panic," Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye said at the International Round Table Discussion on "The Role of Parliaments in Public Diplomacy: The Example of Azerbaijan and Türkiye" held at ADA University, APA reports.

According to F. Oktay, the resolution in the French Parliament regarding Azerbaijan's alleged occupation of Armenian lands during the time 44-day Patriotic War which resulted in the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from occupation, was an example of disinformation: "We must fight against the disinformation caused by such factors. If we cannot do this, we will not be able to get rid of the danger that awaits us in the future. We need to join forces, both at the press and at the international level. The Organization of Turkic States is an exemplary international platform in this regard."
