We discussed the Azerbaijan–Armenia peace process with Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, Fuat Oktay, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT), told journalists while visiting the Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery in Baku, APA reports.
According to the committee chairman, he was extremely pleased to learn that all developments within the normalization process are progressing very positively.
“We also learned that there has been good progress in the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars and Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan projects. Today, we once again take satisfaction in seeing that Azerbaijan ranks among the leading countries in the world in terms of oil and gas exports and transportation via pipelines. In fact, the lands we live on are extremely rich both in natural resources and in human capital. Therefore, this places a certain responsibility upon us. That responsibility is to move Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and the Turkic world as a whole further forward,” Fuat Oktay said.
He stressed that relations, particularly among Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, are extremely strong today and once again demonstrate the existence of even greater potential for the future.
“A little later, I will meet with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), and afterward, a trilateral meeting between Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia will be held.”
