Global-scale projects implemented in region with participation of Azerbaijan, Georgia, FM Bayramov says

"The gratifying fact is that global-scale projects are being implemented in this region with the participation of our states (Azerbaijan and Georgia - ed.)," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said this at a joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, APA reports.

The minister said that these projects have played and will play a role in changing the energy map of the wider geography: "We should especially mention the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and the Southern Gas Corridor. The cargo transportation capacity of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which was completed in 2024, has been increased from 1 million tons to 5 million tons. This is an important project not only for increasing trade turnover between the two countries, but also for increasing its competitiveness. These projects are historic and have been implemented for many years. They benefit both our countries and the wider geography."
