“The very good partnership and friendly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan should be further strengthened,” Georgian Parliament Vice Speaker Nino Tsilosani said, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to her, the strategic positions of both countries should be used effectively, and their positions in the fields of economy and tourism, as well as in global politics, should be strengthened.
Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Committee on Education, Science and Youth Affairs, in turn, said that deepening cooperation within the framework of the strategic partnership with Azerbaijan, which is a partner country for Georgia, is of great importance.
“Today, as two key pillars of the Middle Corridor, we are discussing not only physical connectivity, including pipelines and roads, but also digital connectivity. One of our main topics will be cooperation in education, strengthening ties between young people, and implementing exchange programs, including in the field of science,” she added.
Note that a delegation of the Georgian Parliament is visiting Azerbaijan. The main purpose of the visit is to deepen interparliamentary cooperation.
