Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the drone attacks on Azerbaijan, the Ministry said in a statement, APA’s local bureau reports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that any action that grossly violates the principles and norms of international law and aims to escalate the situation in the region is unacceptable.
“Considering the strong friendship and strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, Georgia expresses its solidarity with brotherly Azerbaijan in this difficult situation,” the statement said.
Note that today drone attacks were carried out on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
One drone struck the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, while another fell near a school building in the village of Shakarabad.
The airport building was damaged and four people were injured.
