Over the past year, Georgia has pursued a balanced neighborhood policy aimed at strengthening stability in the region and ensuring sustainable peace, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in the annual report, APA’s local bureau reports.

The report notes that Georgia is linked with Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Armenia through unwavering strategic partnership relations.

“Cooperation with Azerbaijan and Türkiye is being further strengthened through existing joint strategic projects. It should be noted that Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Armenia continue to rank among Georgia’s top ten largest trading partners. Intensive dynamics of relations at the highest level are being maintained with all three neighboring states,” the document says.

The report also touches upon the Georgia–Türkiye–Azerbaijan trilateral cooperation format. It states that special attention is paid to this format, and meetings of the foreign and defense ministers of the three countries, as well as trilateral business forums, are being held.

According to the document, issues related to the delimitation and demarcation of Georgia’s state borders with Azerbaijan and Armenia were discussed during high-level visits and meetings between the countries during the reporting period.

Note that the document has already been submitted to the Georgian Parliament.

The head of government will present the report before lawmakers at the end of June.
