Georgia intends to acquire energy resources from Turkmenistan, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists, after his meeting with Mr. Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the President of Turkmenistan during his visit to Turkmenistan, APA's reporter in Tbilisi reports.
He said that Georgia offered assistance in the export of energy to Turkmenistan.
“We can offer very specific assistance to Turkmenistan in terms of energy resource transit. Additionally, we are also interested in acquiring energy resources from Turkmenistan. We had very interesting discussions on these issues, and I believe that based on the agreements signed, we will achieve significant progress in our relations in the near future,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
