France has appointed a new ambassador to Azerbaijan, APA reports citing French Embassy.
According to the information, Sophie Lagoutte has been appointed as the new ambassador of France to Azerbaijan.
The new ambassador Sophie Lagoutte herself shared it on her social media account.
"It is a great honor for me to serve France, our interests and our compatriots as ambassador to Azerbaijan. I will carry out this task by continuing the path of Anne Bouillon.
I look forward to further developing French-Azerbaijani relations together with the team of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan in this region of strategic importance for our country and the European Union," the diplomat noted.
