"Azerbaijan has liberated its occupied territories after more than 30 years. The Garabagh issue has been resolved within the framework of international law norms," said the former President of Latvia, Egils Levits, in his statement to APA.
"Currently, we are witnessing aggression against Ukraine as well. This must come to an end. The same approach should be applied to the conflict in this country, and the problem should be resolved based on the norms and principles of international law," - he noted.
Egils Levits pointed out that the situation in the world has completely changed since the XI Global Baku Forum held last year.
According to former head of state of Latvia, the Baku Global Forum is one of the platforms that plays a key role in shaping international public opinion:
"That is why I believe that holding such a prestigious event in Baku carries great political and geographical significance for the North, South, East, and West. This forum brings together countries with different historical backgrounds and people with different opinions every year. They analyze the current situation and search for solutions."
