“We cannot become the member of European Union without reforms, it is mistake believing this,” said Ivo Josipović, former President of Croatia at the panel discussion within the framework of XI Global Baku Forum, APA reports.
The former president stressed the importance of absolute reforms.
“We are in favor of these reforms as Western Balkan countries. Because the reform will change the admission principle.”
Josipović took Türkiye as an example in the matter of membership.
“Look at Türkiye. For 30 years, negotiations for membership are undergoing. Almost no one takes Türkiye’s membership in the EU seriously.”
