"Somalia has always openly supported Azerbaijan's rightful position," Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov said during a joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia Ahmed Moallim Fiqi held in Baku, APA reports.
"During the 30-year conflict, the 44-day war, and beyond, Somalia has supported Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, for which I am grateful."
The Minister stated that he informed his counterpart about the reconstruction activities in the liberated territories, the landmine problem, and the ongoing processes: "I also provided information about the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We had a detailed exchange of views on this matter. Additionally, I informed my counterpart about the process of the return of former internally displaced persons to Garabagh and Eastern Zangazur."
