“It is extremely important to demonstrate comprehensive political coordination and solidarity in the face of existing global and regional security challenges,”  said Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), APA’s correspondent reports.

The minister noted that in the emerging new international security architecture, the Turkic States Organization has the potential to play a more significant role as a symbol of unity of strength: “Azerbaijan’s consistent efforts and purposeful actions towards the normalization process with Armenia, with which it has been in a state of conflict for decades, are aimed at establishing peace and stability in our region.”

As is known, after Azerbaijan fully restored its sovereignty in 2023, direct contacts and joint efforts between the parties to normalize relations with Armenia have intensified even further. As part of it the Summit held in the United States on August 8 and the documents signed carry historic significance. It is necessary for Armenia to eliminate its territorial claims against Azerbaijan, which are established at the constitutional level, in order to properly utilize this historic opportunity and sign a peace agreement.
