Today, executives from embassies, international organizations, and military attaches accredited in Azerbaijan visited the “İstisu” mineral water plant in Kalbajar as part of their trip, APA reports.
The guests got closely acquainted with the facility and observed the production process.
Diplomats were informed that the “İstisu” mineral water plant has resumed the production of the eponymous water, which has long been known for its quality and health benefits, after a 30-year period.
It was noted that production of “İstisu” mineral water in Kalbajar began for the first time in 1976. However, production ceased for 30 years due to the occupation of Azerbaijan's territories by Armenia.
The foundation of the “İstisu” mineral water plant was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on June 26, 2022, and the facility was fully completed in 2024.
The plant was officially opened on September 2 of this year, with President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva in attendance.
Guests were provided with detailed information about the “İstisu” mineral water produced at the plant. Diplomats toured the facility, familiarized themselves with the production process, and tasted the water.
