A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
The ministers exchanged views on the military escalation and rising tensions observed in the Middle East region.
Emphasizing the impact of the current situation on regional and global security, they underlined the importance of adhering to humanitarian law, protecting civilians and civilian objects, and resolving issues through dialogue and diplomatic means on the basis of international law norms and principles.
The Pakistani side also provided information on the current situation regarding clashes that occurred along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border.
During the phone call, the current state and future prospects of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan were also discussed.
