On September 9, 2025, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the newly appointed Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Azerbaijan, Marijana Kujundžić, the Azerbaijan MFA told APA.
The EU delegation head presented a letter of credentials to Minister Bayramov on the occasion of her appointment.
Minister Bayramov congratulated Maryana Kujundžić on her appointment and wished her success in her work in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU in various fields, including political, economic, energy, transport and communications, humanitarian, and other areas.
The importance of joint energy projects between Azerbaijan and the EU was highlighted, and interest was expressed in further developing cooperation in other key areas.
Minister Bayramov also briefed the EU delegation head on the post-conflict situation and regional realities. The significance of advancing the peace agenda initiated by Azerbaijan, including agreements reached during the Washington meeting, the initialing of the peace treaty, and the closure of the OSCE Minsk Process and related structures, was emphasized.
Ambassador Kujundžić expressed her gratitude for the reception and noted that she would spare no effort in advancing the Azerbaijan-EU agenda during her tenure.
The meeting also included discussions on other issues of mutual interest.
