"Azerbaijan has long suffered from violations of the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty," said Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, APA reports.

The Minister stated that Azerbaijan had endured the violation of its territorial integrity for many years: “This negatively impacted the development of our country. We encourage more decisive and swift actions in this regard. Azerbaijan’s ending of the 30-year-long occupation created new realities and a new status quo in the South Caucasus.”

Jeyhun Bayramov noted that after Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity in 2020 and subsequently its sovereignty, it continued working on the Peace and Interstate Relations Agreement: “This process, initiated by Azerbaijan, took two and a half years. Today, the new situation and Azerbaijan’s expectations from Armenia were discussed in detail. It was once again noted that threats to Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity still exist in Armenia’s Constitution.

Another topic discussed was the complete dissolution of the OSCE Minsk structures and achieving consensus within the organization for this: “A joint appeal must first be made by Armenia and Azerbaijan. It was once again emphasized that this institution was established in the 1990s to resolve the Karabakh issue, and since Azerbaijan has already resolved this issue, there is no logical reason to maintain the Minsk structures.”
