Direct flights between Baku and Chisinau have become a positive factor in promoting people-to-people contacts, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi, APA reports.
The minister noted that today they also discussed the cooperation agenda between the two countries on international platforms: “We talked about mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of organizations, as well as the practice of supporting each other’s initiatives and candidates. Azerbaijan pursues an active foreign policy and we have our own initiatives. In each of these initiatives, we have seen support from Moldova.”
The minister noted that he informed his counterpart about the reconstruction and restoration works in the territories liberated from occupation, as well as the return of people: “On the other hand, the recent start of military operations in the Middle East directly affects Azerbaijan. I also shared our latest assessments on this matter.”
