“I have been to Azerbaijan twice and have become acquainted with the reconstruction process in Karabakh, in Shusha, ” said Kan Jie, an expert from the China Institute of International Studies, in his statement to journalists, APA reports.
He said that during his visit to Karabakh, he witnessed the construction of many hydroelectric power stations and the use of solar energy.
“China has vast experience in these areas. For example, in recent years, we have built a new city just 100 kilometers south of Beijing, which we see as a model for a future global city paradigm not only for China but for the world. I believe that President Aliyev and Chairman Xi Jinping share many common views on the importance of green development and digital development. Therefore, I think there are certain opportunities for Chinese companies, especially in the fields of green energy and digitalization, to participate in the reconstruction of Karabakh. When I visited Aghdam, I saw some interesting solar energy infrastructure made in China. That’s why I believe there will be more opportunities for Chinese companies to be involved in construction in the Karabakh region in the future,” Kan Jie emphasized.
