"The Baku Initiative Group has organized 17 international conferences in 2024," the Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group, Abbas Abbasov, said while presenting the annual report on December 14, Decolonization Day, APA reports.
He noted that on December 14, 1960, the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples to ensure the right of colonized peoples to self-determination.
It was highlighted that the Baku Initiative Group held 17 international conferences in 2024, which took place in New York and Geneva: “Five memorandums were signed this year. Our organization has prepared more than seven reports. The BIG also conducts numerous scientific studies as a think tank."
