On May 12, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania held a conference on the topic "The Role of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani People Heydar Aliyev in Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Romania" in the Romanian Senate on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, APA reports.
The conference was attended by members of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Romanian Parliament, faction leaders of the parties represented in the Parliament, representatives of the Romanian Government, a member of the European Parliament elected from Romania, heads and representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Romania, the management and employees of "SOCAR Petroleum SA", the Bucharest office of the "Yunus Emre" Institute, the Turkish Businessmen's Association, public and political figures, members of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan in Romania, members of the community of Iranian Azerbaijanis, and our compatriots living and studying in Romania.
First, the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Romania were played, and then the memory of the Great Leader was commemorated with a minute of silence.
