On September 18, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos will visit Baku, the Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan told APA.
The visit coincides with a decisive stage in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and will provide an opportunity to present the EU’s Interregional Relations Agenda as a concrete contribution to regional development.
In addition, Commissioner Kos will discuss with the Azerbaijani authorities joint strategic interests, including energy, transportation, and the fight against landmines.
Marta Kos will hold high-level meetings with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, and Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov.
The Commissioner will also visit Aghdam, where she will meet with representatives involved in demining activities.
