EU ambassador: Being in Shusha is wonderful

"The European Union supports the demining process in the liberated territories," said Peter Michalko, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Azerbaijan, during his visit to Shusha, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.

“Being in Shusha today is wonderful. Truly, Shusha is a beautiful city of Azerbaijan. I have visited Karabakh several times and, as in other parts of Azerbaijan, I have seen many beautiful places here as well. The ongoing reconstruction work here impresses us greatly. It is noticeable that people are returning and life is restarting. The European Union contributes to peace and stability in the region by supporting demining efforts, which is a fundamental condition for people’s return and living in welfare,” the EU ambassador said.
