"I send my greetings and messages of support to all the oppressed who carry the pain of wars and death in their hearts," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the official opening of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, APA reports.

Erdogan expressed hope that the three-day forum would be beneficial for the world, especially for the oppressed: “Today, once again from this forum, we declare our preference for diplomacy over war. The heart of global diplomacy will beat in Antalya for three days.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Türkiye is working to create a peace and security belt around the country by acting as a dialogue bridge between warring parties: “We want to live in a world where there is peace and prosperity, not confrontation, and to leave such a world for our children. One of the most damaging issues to global conscience and justice is the oppression in Palestine, particularly in Gaza.”

Criticizing Israel, the Turkish President emphasized that raising our voices against the events in Gaza is not only a duty of brotherhood but also a duty of humanity.
