Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his X account regarding the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States held in Gabala, APA reports.

Erdoğan expressed his thoughts on the summit: “We held the 12th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Gabala, a beautiful city that bears witness to Azerbaijan’s ancient history. I hope the signed Gabala Declaration will be beneficial for the Turkic world as well as all our friend and brother countries.

We are adding new achievements to the successes the Organization has attained over the past 16 years under the motto of ‘unity in language, thought, and action.’ In this context, we consider it extremely appropriate and meaningful that the theme of our summit was set as ‘Regional Peace and Security.’

We must implement a vision that allows the Organization to assert its voice and strength in cooperation with other relevant international organizations and alliances. In this regard, I sincerely believe that the TDT+ format we agreed upon today will bring new momentum to our cooperation with third parties.

We can respond collectively to issues ranging from terrorism and illegal migration to cyber threats and climate change, while strengthening our security under our own skies. In this sense, I regard the first meeting of the Defense Industry Institutions of the Organization of Turkic States held in July as a significant step.

We also see our initiatives in transportation, energy security, and trade integration as complementary to this approach.

Paying attention to projects and investments that will make our energy and communication links more efficient is in all our interests. We must make the Middle Corridor via the Caspian even more effective.

We do not merely observe developments in the South Caucasus; we sincerely support steps taken to establish peace and stability in the region. We regard the joint declaration signed on August 8 between Azerbaijan and Armenia as a positive step in this direction and hope for its continuation. We also welcome the agreement signed in March on determining the junction point of borders among Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

I wish our summit to be fruitful and thank Azerbaijan and my esteemed brother Mr. Aliyev for their high-level hospitality,” Erdoğan stated in his post.
