I am very pleased to host my brother Ilham Aliyev in Türkiye, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the inauguration ceremony of the Iğdır-Nakhchivan gas pipeline, held in a videoconference format in Ankara, APA's correspondent sent to Ankara reports.
The Turkish President said, "I congratulate my brother Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Ramadan. The relations between our countries are rapidly developing. In this context, the energy sector is at the forefront. Projects like the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline, which are dreams to some, have been implemented. With TANAP and TAP, Azerbaijani gas is delivered to Europe. Now, the project we are inaugurating will be the next example of the unity of destiny between Nakhchivan and us. This pipeline will meet Nakhchivan’s gas needs for the next 30 years. Together with my brother, we are bringing this project to our countries."
