The crises taking place in our immediate neighborhood have once again demonstrated the strategic importance of the Turkic world acting in solidarity, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at the informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Turkistan reports.
“The crises taking place in our immediate neighborhood have once again demonstrated the strategic importance of the Turkic world acting in solidarity. In the face of geopolitical challenges, we must strengthen our consultation mechanisms and coordination. We consider the implementation of the OTS+ format as soon as possible to be beneficial. The increasing contacts between us and our ministers confirm that the Turkic states have already developed high-level reflexes in the face of common issues.
As the crisis centered around the Strait of Hormuz demonstrates today, transportation projects connecting the Turkic world, especially the Middle Corridor, will remain our priority for many years. We are ready to share with the members of our organization the experience we have gained in the defense industry, which we have developed on the basis of high technologies. We attach great importance to the regular holding of meetings of defense industry institutions within the framework of our organization. We plan to organize the COP31 Climate Conference, which will be held in our country in November, with an approach that highlights the opportunities presented by artificial intelligence and digital technologies. In addition, we are in a transformation process aimed at making maximum use of technological opportunities to support agricultural production,” the Turkish President noted.
