The Arab Republic of Egypt has applauded the conclusion of negotiations on the peace agreement draft between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, the Egyptian Embassy in Azerbaijan said in a statement in a social media post, APA reports.
It was noted that this step will contribute to ending the conflict between the two countries, establishing peace in the South Caucasus region, and advancing the region towards a more stable and secure future.
"This step is a result of the efforts made by both countries in recent years. Egypt hopes for the signing of a peace agreement between the friendly countries as soon as possible and wishes for the emergence of the best opportunities for both sides," the statement said.
Note that on March 13, the Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Armenia issued a statement announcing the conclusion of negotiations on the draft Agreement on Peace and the Establishment of Interstate Relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
