The "Afshar Star" Educational Center has been opened in Afghanistan, founded by a representative of the Azerbaijani-origin Afshars with the support of the International Development Assistance Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Afghanistan told APA.
It was noted that the center was established with the aim of preserving the national cultural heritage of the Afshars, as well as teaching the Azerbaijani language and history.
Located in the Afshar-e-Nanagchi area of Kabul city, the "Afshar Star" Educational Center, which has been officially registered, provides an environment for 60 students to study simultaneously.
The center's classrooms and teacher's rooms are equipped with necessary equipment, teaching materials, and historical books published by Azerbaijani scholars.
