Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, APA reports.
The Netherlands' Embassy shared a post in this regard.
"I welcome today's agreements between Azerbaijani President Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan - a historic breakthrough in the Oval Office. I applaud both countries and US President for making progress possible. While challenges remain, a peace treaty is within reach.
Today's agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan mark a significant breakthrough to end decades of conflict. We strongly commend both sides and the US Administration for using the momentum and making progress possible. Swift implementation of the agreed steps is now crucial. Normalisation of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations is essential for lasting peace, regional stability, and prosperity. The Netherlands remains a committed supporter in this process," Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp noted.
