Discussion of Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process at Antalya Diplomacy Forum may yield important results

Discussion of the Azerbaijan–Armenia peace process at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum could yield significant results, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.

Burhanettin Duran, Head of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration, did not rule out the possibility that Azerbaijani and Armenian representatives could discuss the peace process at the forum scheduled for April.

According to him, if meetings are held within the framework of the forum that could give impetus to progress in this direction, this could lead to very important outcomes.

“In this context, it is expected that the work towards an agreement to ensure peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia will also be touched upon. Considerable progress has been made in this direction, and with President Trump’s involvement in the process, a significant stage has been reached."

Additionally, allowing third-country citizens to cross the border in Türkiye could be one of the first steps toward Türkiye–Armenia rapprochement. Türkiye continues to coordinate this process together with Azerbaijan.

If meetings that could accelerate progress in this direction take place at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, I believe this could produce very significant results,” Burhanettin Duran noted.
