The diplomatic corps' visit to Karabakh and East Zangezur has begun, APA's correspondent dispatched to Karabakh reports.
Accompanied by Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmat Hajiyev, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan have begun a two-day visit to Karabakh and East Zangezur.
A 150-member delegation representing 58 countries and 9 international organizations is taking part in the visit.
As part of the visit, representatives of the diplomatic corps will familiarize themselves with social and economic infrastructure projects implemented within the framework of the large-scale restoration, reconstruction and development process being carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in the cities of Khankendi and Shusha, as well as in the Aghdara and Kalbajar districts, along with the current state of historical and cultural heritage sites and measures taken to protect and restore them.
This is the 22nd visit by representatives of the diplomatic corps to the territories liberated from occupation since 2020.
