Deputy Speaker of Milli Majlis: Parliamentary diplomacy should adopt laws meeting interests of Azerbaijan and Türkiye

"Among the main goals of parliamentary diplomacy is the resolution of the issue of hybrid security and the preparation of a reliable platform for this," Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Ziyafat Asgarov said during his speech at the international roundtable on the topic "The role of parliaments in public diplomacy: the example of Azerbaijan and Türkiye", APA reports.

According to Z. Asgarov, this problem is at a level and scale that is receiving wide attention: "Today, hybrid threats against Türkiye and Azerbaijan are of a very important nature. We have created a special commission in the Milli Majlis in order to effectively respond to such situations. Today, there are those in the world who are jealous of the friendship that exists between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. Therefore, I believe that parliamentary diplomacy should adopt laws that meet the interests of not only Azerbaijan, but also Türkiye."
