Azerbaijan is currently contributing to the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev said in an interview with APA.
The deputy minister noted that Azerbaijan has always made valuable contributions to ensuring international peace and security.
"Within the framework of the United Nations, we have contributed to and actively participated in discussions held both at the General Assembly and the Security Council. We have also taken part in international peacekeeping missions. Azerbaijan is currently contributing to the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan with two officers. This activity is coordinated through the Department of International Security," he said.
