Deputy Chairman of CHP's parliamentary group considers opening of Zangazur corridor necessary

"Relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan reached their peak with the Shusha Declaration," Murat Emir, Deputy Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Group in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, said at the International Parliamentary Conference on "Parliamentarism: Traditions and Perspectives", APA reports.

"The protection of peace in the Caucasus and the opening of an important window pleases all of us. The turmoil in the world once again reveals the importance of dialogue. The war between Russia and Ukraine had delayed cargo transportation in Eurasia. Similarly, it had hindered the supply chain in the South. In this regard, the revival of the Middle Corridor - the Historical Silk Road is of great importance. The Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan railway line contributes to the sustainability of transportation. With the opening of the Zangazur corridor, this activity will become even more important," Murat Emir emphasized.
