The statements and decisions made by the Armenian Church in recent years indicate the presence of revanchist forces in the country, Farhad Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), said at an event titled "The Heritage of Caucasian Albania in the History of Azerbaijani Statehood," APA reports.
He noted that the positions of political parties and various socio-political organizations may change depending on the political climate:
"However, the statements made and decisions adopted by the Armenian Church over the past 3–5 years show that this very church provides the greatest institutional support for revanchist sentiments in Armenian society," he emphasized.
